Guide to make VOIP-calls work on N85, N96

I was frustrated when I got my Nokia N85, because it wasn't possible to use Truphone or the old Gizmo app on the new phones, as on Nokia N95. So I searched the web and finally found out how to make it work again. Now, let's start and make Gizmo work like before again and make cheap internet calls!

Here is how:

1. download the new SIP VoIP 3.0 Settings v.1.0 (english) and install it to the phonememory.

2. After installing, restart your phone, and you will find a new tab in your contacts, called "Provider". There you can activate or disconnect the internet phone service.

3. Before being able to use all this, you have to configure the VoIP-settings. Enter the settings, and the connections, then choose SIP-settings and follow this guide and apply the following to the settings:
* Profile name: Gizmo
* Service profile: Standard IETF
* Default access point: your access point
* Public username: your gizmo sip id (usually sip:17476xxxxxx@proxy01.sipphone.com)
* Use compression: no
* Registration mode: When needed or Always on
* Use Security negotiation: no
* Proxy Server:
o Proxy address: siproxy01.sipphone.com
o Realm: proxy01.sipphone.com
o Username: your SIP number (17476xxxxxx)
o Password: your password
o Loose routing: yes (preferred, but "no" should also work)
o Transport protocol: UDP (TCP should also work)
o Port: 5060
* Registrar server:
o Registrar address: siproxy01.sipphone.com
o Realm: proxy01.sipphone.com
o Username: your SIP number (17476xxxxxx)
o Password: your password
o Transport protocol: UDP (TCP should also work)
o Port: 5060

4. After doing this, it should work.

5. If somethings goes wrong, you can also check the "Netsettings"-icon where you will find some more settings.

6. If you haven't already got an account on Gizmo, hxxp://gizmo5.com/pc/, create one and add funds if needed to be able to use the service.

Note :
Maybe betamax is cheaper than gizmo, you can find the update price comparison of betamax service here: http://www.backsla.sh/betamax
so you can choose the better rates for you, create an account and put configuration on your phone

Example if you choose the "voipstunt" service :

* Profile name: Voipstunt
* Service profile: Standard IETF
* Default access point: your access point
* Public username: your Voipstunt sip id (usually sip:username@voipstunt.com)
* Use compression: no
* Registration mode: When needed or Always on
* Use Security negotiation: no
* Proxy Server:
o Proxy address: sip.voipstunt.com
o Realm: voipstunt.com
o Username: your SIP username
o Password: your password
o Loose routing: yes (preferred, but "no" should also work)
o Transport protocol: UDP (TCP should also work)
o Port: 5060
* Registrar server:
o Registrar address: sip.voipstunt.com
o Realm: voipstunt.com
o Username: your SIP username
o Password: your password
o Loose routing: yes (preferred, but "no" should also work)
o Transport protocol: UDP (TCP should also work)
o Port: 5060 [Rusli Zaenal Sang Visioner]
